Theatre III is hosting a Stage Management Workshop!

Facilitated by Alison Walters-Short, who has stage managed at multiple community theaters in the area and was recognized in the 2020 EMACT DASH outstanding achievement awards.

This combination of intro material with some hands-on practice exercises will cover a variety of stage management topics including:
  1. Defining your duties as the stage manager (and how it might vary from show to show and company to company!)
  2. Working with show departments & being a communication conduit
  3. Taking blocking notes & doing rehearsal reports
  4. Setting up a run script & calling a show

This is a free opportunity to see if community theater stage management might be of interest to you!  Come find out how to be some of the glue that holds a show together.

Bring a sharp pencil or two - otherwise, everything, including some snacks and water, will be provided.  During the lunch break people are welcome to leave and return, or hang out and we can order via a group DoorDash (likely Panera - bring cash or Venmo).

Please sign up via our Google form so that we have enough materials!
