A comedy confection divided into four parts as only Neil Simon can write it!!
Four couples arrive from New York, Philadelphia, London, and Chicago, and separately inhabit a Beverly Hills hotel suite, bringing along their problems, anxieties, and comical marital dilemmas. Beverly Hills will never be the same!
In Visitor from New York… Hannah Warren, a Manhattan workaholic, flies to LA to retrieve her teenage daughter Jenny after she leaves home to live with her successful screenwriter father William (Billy). The banter flies fast and furious as the couple tries to decide what’s best for their daughter.
In Visitor from Philadelphia… in town for his nephew’s bar mitzvah, conservative businessman Marvin Michaels awakens to discover a young lady named “Bunny” unconscious in his bed after consuming an entire large bottle of vodka! Unfortunately, it’s bad timing for Marvin - his wife Millie has just arrived and is on her way up to the hotel suite as Marvin frantically tries cover-up his little indiscretion!!
In Visitors from London… we meet British actress Diana Nichols and her antiques dealer “closeted” husband Sidney who increasingly has become indiscreet about his sexual orientation as they prepare to attend the Oscars for Diana’s first-time Best Actress nomination. She is in deep denial about the true nature of her marriage and has no confidence in winning as her mood fluctuates between hope, panic and despair.
In Visitors from Chicago… two affluent couples and best friends, Mort Hollender and his wife Beth, along with Stu Franklyn and his wife Gert, decide to spend a much needed “relaxing” vacation together. Unfortunately, an ill-advised couple’s mixed doubles tennis match and unexpected injury creates hilarious chaos and unveils some frayed nerves and deep-seated issues between them as they conclude their mutually disastrous trip!!
